The Burleigh WA‑7100 multi‑wavelength meter is part of the well‑known Burleigh product line acquired by EXFO in 2000. EXFO continued producing these instruments for several years under both the Burleigh name and their own grey‑label branding. Eventually, the entire wavelength meter line was discontinued, and as of today, no new EXFO wavemeter series has been introduced.

HeNe Laser Replacement for WA‑7100 Multi Wavelength Meters
The WA‑7100, like the WA‑1100 and WA‑1150 models, uses a non‑stabilized Helium‑Neon (HeNe) laser as its internal wavelength reference. The original Melles‑Griot HeNe tubes used in these instruments have been discontinued for many years, creating global shortages and making repairs increasingly challenging.

Repair Limitations for Aging Burleigh Instruments
The Burleigh wavelength meter family has been out of production for more than 20 years. While Simbol maintains strong repair success rates, certain limitations apply due to the age of the electronics:

- Adjustment of optical paths and reference components
