Simbol Test Systems provides professional in-lab AFL Noyes TurboTest 500 and 500B Series optical loss test set (OLTS) calibration and repair services to help maintain accurate, reliable performance for your fiber optic test equipment. The Noyes TurboTest 500 Series, developed by Noyes Fiber Systems and later associated with AFL, is a specialized handheld OLTS family designed for testing high-fiber-count single-mode fiber networks.
The AFL Noyes TurboTest 500 / 500B Series supports efficient link verification by performing bidirectional optical loss testing over a single fiber. Standard TurboTest 500 models include the OLT-503 / T503 dual-wavelength unit for 1310 nm and 1550 nm testing, and the OLT-504 / T504 high-power version for applications such as CATV and amplified optical networks.
The newer TurboTest 500B Series includes models such as the T503B, T504B, and T506B. These units provide updated operation and expanded test coverage, including configurations for 1310 nm / 1550 nm and 1310 nm / 1550 nm / 1625 nm single-mode testing. Connector configuration codes may include ASC for angled SC interfaces, AFC for angled FC interfaces, and UPC variants for standard non-angled connections.
If your unit shows measurement drift, reduced optical power accuracy, loss measurement errors, ORL measurement issues, connector wear, display or control faults, or other operating problems, we can review the failure condition and provide service recommendations based on the specific model and connector configuration.
Following calibration, your equipment may be returned with a calibration label, calibration certificate, and related calibration data. If the unit does not successfully complete calibration, we can evaluate the repair requirements and provide a repair quotation for approval before proceeding.
Traceability: Instrumentation used during this calibration is traceable to N.I.S.T. (National Institute of Standards and Technology) or C.N.R.C. (Canadian National Research Council), where applicable.
