VIAVI OLP Series Optical Power Meter Calibration and Repair Services
Simbol Test Systems provides professional in-lab VIAVI OLP Series optical power meter calibration and repair services to help maintain accurate, reliable performance for your fiber optic test equipment. The VIAVI OLP Series, originally developed through the Wavetek Wandel Goltermann (WWG), Acterna, and JDSU product lineages, includes handheld optical power meters (OPM) used to measure absolute optical power levels and insertion loss in fiber optic networks.
The VIAVI OLP Series includes multiple generations and product tiers for different field applications. SmartPocket and SmartPocket V2 models include compact power meters such as the OLP-34, OLP-34V2, OLP-35, OLP-35V2, OLP-38, OLP-38V2, OLP-37XV2, and OLP-39 TruePON. These instruments are widely used for LAN/WAN, telecom, CATV, DWDM, and PON network testing.
Advanced SmartClass Fiber and PON models include the OLP-82, OLP-82P, OLP-85, OLP-85P, OLP-87, and OLP-88 TruePON. Depending on configuration, these units may support optical power measurement, wavelength-selective PON testing, fiber inspection workflows, pass/fail analysis, data storage, Bluetooth connectivity, and cloud-connected reporting features.
If your unit shows measurement drift, reduced accuracy, connector interface wear, display or control faults, Bluetooth or communication issues, inspection probe problems, or other operating problems, we can review the failure condition and provide service recommendations based on the exact model and configuration.
Following calibration, your equipment may be returned with a calibration label, calibration certificate, and related calibration data. If the unit does not successfully complete calibration, we can evaluate the repair requirements and provide a repair quotation for approval before proceeding.
Traceability: Instrumentation used during this calibration is traceable to N.I.S.T. (National Institute of Standards and Technology) or C.N.R.C. (Canadian National Research Council), where applicable.
