AFL OFI-BIPM / OFI-BIPMe Optical Fiber Identifier Calibration and Repair Services

Simbol is an authorized Canadian distributor and service center for AFL Noyes, supporting customers who require qualified service for AFL and Noyes optical test products.

Simbol Test Systems provides professional in-lab AFL OFI-BIPM and OFI-BIPMe optical fiber identifier calibration and repair services to help maintain accurate, reliable performance for your fiber optic test equipment. These handheld optical fiber identifiers are designed to detect live traffic, identify test tones, and measure relative core power on active fibers without interrupting service.

The AFL OFI-BIPM / OFI-BIPMe series is widely used in field maintenance and troubleshooting to help technicians avoid disconnecting active fibers. The OFI-BIPM supports detection of up to 3 tones and includes a specialized ONU signal detection function, while the OFI-BIPMe supports enhanced detection of up to 4 tones for flexible field identification tasks.

If your unit shows inaccurate traffic detection, tone detection issues, reduced sensitivity, clamp or head wear, display or control faults, or other operating problems, we can review the failure condition and provide service recommendations based on the specific model variant.

Following calibration, your equipment may be returned with a calibration label, calibration certificate, and related calibration data. If the unit does not successfully complete calibration, we can evaluate the repair requirements and provide a repair quotation for approval before proceeding.

Traceability: Instrumentation used during this calibration is traceable to N.I.S.T. (National Institute of Standards and Technology) or C.N.R.C. (Canadian National Research Council), where applicable.

Contact Simbol Test Systems with your AFL OFI-BIPM or OFI-BIPMe model number and a brief description of the issue to request a calibration quote or repair evaluation.
