EXFO FTB-7000B Series OTDR Module Calibration and Repair Services
Simbol Test Systems provides professional in-lab EXFO FTB-7000B Series Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) module calibration and repair services to help maintain accurate, reliable performance for your fiber optic test equipment. The FTB-7000B Series is a line of hot-swappable OTDR modules engineered for fiber characterization, fault location, splice and connector loss analysis, and optical return loss (ORL) measurement across a wide range of physical network layers.
The EXFO FTB-7000B Series includes more than 20 modular configurations across several performance tiers, including the FTB-7200B for LAN/WAN and access links, the FTB-7300B for metro and FTTx environments, and the FTB-7400B / FTB-7500B for long-haul and submarine cable applications. Depending on model, these modules support single-mode wavelengths such as 1310, 1410, 1490, 1550, and 1625 nm as well as multimode wavelengths including 850 and 1300 nm.
These OTDR modules are designed for high-resolution trace analysis with up to 256,000 data points, short event dead zones down to approximately 1 to 1.5 meters, and EXFO Universal Interface (EUI) connector flexibility for SC, FC, ST, and APC/UPC style interfaces. They are intended for use with compatible EXFO platforms such as the FTB-100B, FTB-200, FTB-300, and FTB-400, depending on the test configuration.
If your module shows measurement drift, unstable trace performance, connector wear, communication faults with the mainframe, ORL measurement issues, or other operating problems, we can review the failure condition and provide service recommendations based on the specific module model and platform setup.
Following calibration, your equipment may be returned with a calibration label, calibration certificate, and related calibration data. If the unit does not successfully complete calibration, we can evaluate the repair requirements and provide a repair quotation for approval before proceeding.
Traceability: Instrumentation used during this calibration is traceable to N.I.S.T. (National Institute of Standards and Technology) or C.N.R.C. (Canadian National Research Council), where applicable.
