Simbol Test Systems provides professional in-lab JDS Uniphase (JDSU / VIAVI) BNS Series broadband optical noise source calibration and repair services to help maintain accurate, reliable performance for your optical test and measurement equipment. All calibration services are performed in our laboratory using documented procedures, traceable standards, and experienced technical staff.

The BNS Series consists of benchtop optical broadband sources engineered to generate high-power, spectrally flattened Amplified Spontaneous Emission (ASE) output using erbium-doped fiber technology. These sources are commonly used in Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) testing, optical component characterization, and system-level measurements where stable broadband illumination is required. If the unit exhibits output power instability, spectral flatness deviations, communication faults, or general performance issues, we can evaluate the condition and provide appropriate service recommendations.

Following calibration, your equipment may be returned with a calibration label, calibration certificate, and related calibration data. If the unit does not successfully complete calibration, we can evaluate the repair requirements and provide a repair quotation for approval before proceeding.

Traceability: Instrumentation used during this calibration is traceable to N.I.S.T. (National Institute of Standards and Technology) or C.N.R.C. (Canadian National Research Council), where applicable.
