The OLP-38 is engineered for high optical power measurements up to +26 dBm, making it well suited for CATV networks with analog RF transmission, amplified optical links, and DWDM systems. Although originally manufactured under the JDSU brand, the product family later transitioned under VIAVI Solutions. The original OLP-38 series is discontinued and has been succeeded by the upgraded SmartPocket V2 OLP-38V2 line, but many OLP-38 units remain in use and available on the secondary market.
