The AFL Noyes OPM5 Optical Power Meter with Data Storage is a rugged handheld instrument for measuring optical power and link loss in single-mode and multimode fiber networks. Available with filtered InGaAs, InGaAs, or germanium detectors, the OPM5 supports applications ranging from premises LAN/WAN testing to telecommunications, Passive Optical Networks, CATV, and DWDM systems.
The OPM5 stores optical references at each calibrated wavelength and organizes test results into multiple files. Stored results can be transferred through USB to AFL TRM 2.0 software for analysis, Pass/Fail evaluation, reporting, and printing. This provides technicians with a practical method for documenting optical loss measurements and demonstrating compliance with applicable network limits.
When paired with a compatible AFL Wave ID optical light source, the OPM5 can identify up to three transmitted wavelengths simultaneously.
