FSS-SC40 Fusion Splice Protection
"Standard" series fusion splice protection sleeve represents the industry's most popular sleeve due to its robust design and user friendly size. Stock lengths are 40 & 60 mm, but also available in 32 mm. All with an after shrink diameter of 2.9 mm and will accommodate fiber diameters up to 1.4 mm. This product is constructed with an inner EVA meltable adhesive tube, stainless steel strength member and a polyolefin heat shrink outer tube. The tubes are clear to allow viewing of the fiber during and after splicing. The entire assembly is designed to ensure that all members maintain perfect alignment during shipping, handling and shrinking. Standard, Clear, 40 mm Fusion Splice Protection Sleeve. (2.9 mm diameter after shrink)
Model FSS-SC40 is 40 mm long and constructed with a stainless steel strength member, inner meltable adhesive tube, and polyolefin outer tube. Cut lengths are precise and burr free and the entire assembly is heat bonded to ensure that the tubes maintain perfect alignment during shipping, handling and shrinking.
This sleeve presents a clear outer tube for viewing th color of the fiber after splicing and it will accommodate fiber diameters up to 1.4 mm. This product is offered with a metallic stainless steel strength member, or an optional fiberglass strength member for low heat absorption and electrical resistance.
Available in 40 and 60 mm length.
