FSS-FLEX-RC40 Fusion Splice Protection
Splice Technologies' "Flexible Micro" series sleeve is our smallest flexible splice sleeve specifically designed to provide an efficient and economical alternative to fiber recoating devices. This flexible sleeve will accommodate up to 450 µm diameter fiber with an after shrink diameter of only 1.5 mm, (.059 inches), and offered in stock lengths of 25 and 40 mm and custom lengths from 20 through 60 mm. Since this product does not incorporate any rigid strength member, it is ideal for mandrel wrap, splitter/coupler packages or similar applications where space is limited and where fiber bending may be required. This product is constructed with an inner EVA meltable adhesive tube and a polyolefin heat shrink outer tube. The tubes are clear to allow viewing of the fiber during and after splicing. This product has been proportionately downsized using the same core materials, formulations and manufacturing processes that are used in our "Standard" series products. The entire assembly is designed to ensure that all members maintain perfect alignment during shipping, handling and shrinking. Slim, Clear, 40 mm Fusion Splice Protection Sleeve. (2.5 mm diameter after shrink)
Model FSS-LC40 is a 40 mm long constructed with a stainless steel strength member, inner meltable adhesive tube, and polyolefin outer tube. Cut lengths are precise and burr free and the entire assembly is heat bonded to ensure that the tubes maintain perfect alignment during shipping, handling and shrinking.
It has a reduced strength member, and after shrink diameter of 2.5 mm. It also works with fiber diameter up to 1.4 mm.
