AFL
in 2005 Simbol Test Systems got in an agreement with AFL to become the exclusive Fujikura fusion splicers service center for Canada. Later the Noyes products support was added to Simbol's assignement. Contact Simbol for all your Fujikura, AFL or Noyes branded products support requirements. AssetRelay has limited stock of used AFL products.
AFL is the accronym for America Fujikura Ltd. In the early days, the first letter A stood for Alcoa which was the Fujikura partner in the venture to build fiber optic ground wires. In 2005, Fujikura (Japan) assumed 100% ownership of AFL.
Over the years, AFL acquired numerous fiber cabling, enclosures and instruments companies. Of interest is Noyes with a large portfolio of hand held fiber optics measurement devices namely OTDRs. Today AFL offers many different type of fiber optic cables, optical cable enclosures, test equipment and is the exclusive distributor of Fujikura fusion splicing equipment in North America.
